So, a buddy of mine tells me the other day about these two guys he works with. He has been building a friendship with them and has had the opportunity to express his faith. At first they were a little suspicious or guarded, but over time have opened up. Understandably, they have pre-conceived ideas about what a "christian" is.
Anyway, the other day a "christian" shows up at there company door, wielding tracts and being very pushy. One of these guys was the recipient of said "evangelism". He later walked by my friends desk, threw the tract on it and said, "I think this is for you."
You can imagine the frustration of my buddy as he realizes that some of the damage that has been undone, through his relationship with these guys, is now reinstated by the stupidity of a believer who apparently is not interested in building relationship, only in covering his own butt, by "spreading the word". At the end of the day, he can say he was a witness, without ever considering what he was a witness of....
