I am praying...

I don't have a clue about raising money. I have been running a "faith" mission for 16 years, and I suck at raising money. As a matter of fact, I know that God has made it very clear, that He opens the wallets, not me. We need a bigger facility. So, I am praying that God would give us 1.5 million dollars. I am also asking that He do it within the next 24 hours.

Peace,

K

Hey Kim. Did god answer your prayer request?

I do not have 1.5 million yet. He may have said no, however, I do believe this is a request that He prompted m to ask for, so,.... I will keep you posted.

There's no need to keep me posted. I was just curious because you had given god a definite amount, in a definite time frame. Obviously that didn't happen, so ultimately god did not answer your prayer (or he did answer and the answer was no). Which I guess is fine. But it kind of made me think of the grander scheme of things when it comes to prayer requests like this... you know unlikely prayer requests (not that a prayer for 1.5 mill in 24 hrs is unlikely in your situation, seeing that you know some very wealthy people, but bear with me). In my experience, unlikely prayer requests are always answered in the negative. I noticed this years ago now, and it's one of the things that lead me to leaving the Christian faith. How often do you hear of affirmative answered prayers like say someone who has no eyes, but god gives him new ones, or an amputated limb grows back thanks to god? Well you don't. So, what are your thoughts on impossible prayers?

I should add that many Christians typically answer my above question with something like:

1. God has a plan for all those amputees that's why he doesn't positively answer their prayers.

2. It's not god's will for impossible prayers to be answered.

3. God only knows why

4. Wait until heaven.

I long ago realized that you're not a typical Christian so I'm curious to see your answer.
